OVERVIEW
Let’s do the math. Although rewarding, the work schedule of a personal trainer can be very demanding. Your goal is to set eight one-hour sessions per day. This can be challenging due to scheduling conflicts. Your "working professional" clients are only available before or after work, on weekends and in between business trips. Your "stay at home Mom" clients have to take care of their Mom responsibilities; their best times to train are in the morning after the kids are off to school. If you are training with the kids, they are only available after school – and not on the days when there is soccer practice. This leaves mid-day wide open for the "independently wealthy" clients who don’t have any responsibilities – whoops, forgot that they would rather be having long lunches by the beach. Long story short, your work day can easily get stretched out to 12-15 hours, and your work week 6-7 days. There is a limit to the number of clients you can train and thus the revenue that you can generate.
And let’s be real. Not everyone can afford a personal trainer. But if they could, they definitely would be interested in your services.
